2. Read or listen to the 1 hour 13 minute book called: Chakras- A Beginner's Guide to Healing with Your Body's Energy Centers. By: Anodea Judith
It is available on Audible.com Write about it here. 3 sentences max.

3. Make a video about your process at the Sage School of Light. Introduce yourself. What are you studying, why and with whom? Upload it to your YouTube station and leave the link here. Remember the list of do's and don'ts. No time limits on this video but I think what would be appropriate is from 2-8 minutes. Have fun!

Your homeplay is due on Sunday August 5th. See you back in class on Wednesday August 8th.

    1) Doing a silent reading is a totally different experience than a normal talking reading. Once the channel is open and the reading begins, my mind starts racing with what I would be saying. I found that it took me a minute or two to ground, and really focus my own energy inside me to be clear and get into a more relaxed and receptive state. Once I did get into that calm state the readings were beautiful and clear.

    2) I enoyed the book becasue it opened my mind to new translations and interpretations of the chakras. It also really helped sink in the information that what we practiced in class.

    1. Aura healings. The first aura healing I could feel their aura with a lot of buzzing in my hands. After 10 minutes, I felt a big surge of joy that came over me. The second aura healing, I felt their aura in the front of their body to be very grainy. I continued to wipe over it until it felt smooth. After 10 minutes, I felt a sense of peace and joy that came over my body. With both aura readings, I pulled my energy into myself and filled my body with light. I stayed grounded with both of the healings.

    1. I did the aura readings on my friend Dianna and her sister Sherry. I started with Sherry. Her aura was larger in the back than in the front. There was a missing piece on her left side. When I asked her to pull her energy in, it went from about six feet away from her body to two feet. I had a hard time concentrating on myself. I had to keep reminding myself to come back to me.
    When I did the reading on Dianna, it was much easier to concentrate on myself, when I did, I noticed I could feel the aura with my hands much stronger. I had done an aura healing on my husband last assignment and his aura was VERY solid and smooth, it was a very clear thick barrier. Both Sherry and Dianna had softer more diffuse auras, they were less distinct.

    2. This was a different approach to the chakras for me and I have a new view of them now. I found that the meditations were about actually FEELING and EXPERIENCING each chakra, not just knowing they are there and what they represent. I also found it interesting that she links them to different elements. Very descriptive.

    1. I did two aura readings today. Both clients felt a lot of energy movement as well as colors. I didn’t see any colors, but I wasn’t focused on that. I noticed that I seem to have trouble really grounding myself. I focused on the grounding and definitely felt more connected to my body. Drawing in was very interesting as it made the energy stronger. I experienced both drawing in and out. Both people felt some exhilaration with the experience. Also, the aura expanded with one client at the same time He experienced great joy. I’d like to do more but I’ll wait till we are at that point in the class.
    2. Regarding the book, I enjoyed it a great deal. I tried to listen as if I was brand new to the topic. Even so, what was new for me was her description of the energy lines and their meaning. Liberty and manifestation along with the two horizontal lines . I’ll need to go over my notes and perhaps listen to that section again. Over all, it was a good learning experience.

    Robin, Just checking that you received my reading of John from July 22. We sent it again through hightail last night. I hope you were able to download it. Please let me know that you received it or not. Any feedback on the reading?

    1. I completed two aura healings. I filled myself with light and stayed grounded. I’ve noticed my heart gets lit strongly in certain spots.

    2. I liked her explanation of the chakra system. I released a lot of energy in the first two chakra meditations.

    1.) For both of the healings, I found it easy to initially ground and difficult to stay grounded throughout the sessions. I noticed my mind tended to wander and then I was in the other person(s) energy field. Thus far, it is much easier to stay grounded doing long-distance healings. I am excited to further develop this new approach to healing. Both people could feel the energy exchange in the form of heat and tingling. I wanted to go deeper and further into the healing so learning time limits is healing and helpful for myself as well.

    2.) I loved this audiobook. I learned new things about the chakra system like the four different currents and the direction of the currents (both vertical and horizontal). I thought the meditation portion of this book was especially grounding and very easy to follow. I would enjoy other books by Anodea!

    1. Giving an aura healing (without talking): First one: Very interesting when I gave a reading to my friend’s dog. He had this large funnel projecting outward from his tailbone. Six feet in width and five feet in height. That he used for healing his owner. Second healing was on my husband. He exhibited a medium field (three feet in width) to the front and sides. Much larger to his back (six to seven feet in width). I was able to keep my energy grounded as I worked on both subjects.
    2. Read or listen to Anodea Judith’s “Chakras- A Beginner’s Guide to Healing with Your Body’s Energy Centers”.
    Fabulous book, I enjoyed learning new insights and other perspectives to our chakras. Such as the 2 way vertical and horizontal flow’s manifesting qualities. The ‘airport analogy’, and what each of the vertical and horizontal flows are doing.

    I did one silent aura healing. Reached out to set up a second one this week.
    I don’t yet have full control over my attention while in reading mode. It wanders off away from me to the person I am attempting to feel. It got easier compared to the first ones the previous weeks.

    2. An experience of beauty.
    At the 5th chakra, I started crying involuntarily since I’ve been struggling with a feeling of choking for several years already.
    I realized through this meditation how much time I am spending meditating through the top 2 chakras and am feeling confirmed in my practice.

    I don’t expect an evaluation of these two Robin since I am submitting them so much later. I went through the checklist of do’s and don’ts and am aware that they are not yet according to all the criteria; I’m just happy I got this far with them.

    My first time submitting the home play did not show up here this morning; I am resubmitting.

    1. I did practice with one person this week. Another one is scheduled for tonight.
    It was a back and forth the experience of having my attention in myself vs. it going out to the person I was reading. When staying with myself I could distinguish nuances changing mainly as a subtle sensation around my hands and to the front of my head and upper part of my face.

    2. An experience of beauty. Touched and started crying out of nowhere (actually out of my body 🙂 when we got to the 5th chakra, which chakra I have been having issues for several years, with a feeling of choking. The 6th and 7th chakra meditation sections struck a very familiar chord in me. The first three chakras I was struggling with falling asleep because I was really tired but they re-energized me and I was recharged by the time I got to the 4th chakra.

    I also made and published the first two videos we had as an assignment 2 months ago.
    Here they are, I don’t expect feedback or comments since I am so much later than everyone else, but I am just happy about how far I got with them. They are not perfect and when checking the dos and don’ts list I see several flaws which I made note of:

    1. I did 3 readings on 3 different people. I noted the colors/levels that stood out, that got my attention. I sensed that some of the colors needed healing, were intense, out of balance, unhealthy. I grounded,focused on my breathing, and the color. With time I felt as though the energy had “fallen into place”, in my chest. I felt grounded and at peace, balanced and centered. I felt that the colors/ levels were more balanced, in harmony, and healthy. It felt that I had provided healing in some way, to the person.

    2. I found the beginning of the book very informative. I went very “deep” during the meditation part of the book. The next day, I felt more connected to source,less ego involved in my daily actions, more flowing, less thinking.
