THE SAGE DIET

Everything that you drink, eat or lather over your body MUST be organic.

One or more large raw/uncooked organic salad with veggies

Tons of sprouts daily on your salad. Broccoli, mung, alfalfa, etc. These little guys are so nutritional and healing it's crazy!!! They are always the 1st thing I eat when I feel a cold coming on too.

One avocado

Organic seeds: Small helping of quinoa. (Quinoa is a seed not a grain.)
Hemp seeds. Does not require soaking.

One helping raw and organic nuts and seeds that have been soaked in water overnight and rinsed. Best to eat as a snack between meals. Do not mix them with raisins or anything sweet.

One or more vegetable smoothie blend with mostly vegetables and water. You can put fruit in it but it may cause fermentation in your gut. Don't use bananas as they are too sweet. It's better to have just veggies and water blended together. If you blend veggies instead of juice them it will have more fiber, cost less, and be easier to clean. If you can't stand the taste at first, (you will love it later) use berries or tart green apples to flavor your smoothies.

One or more large serving of steamed organic veggies (add seasoning, lemon or coconut oil AFTER the veggies have been cooked. Never heat oil and only cook or “fry” food in water.

1-3 pieces of fresh organic fruit (only one piece at a time such as for a snack or desert, no dried fruit or bananas as they are too sweet. Do not eat fruit with any other food as it will cause intestinal fermentation.)

One helping of organic legumes (lentils, black beans, dal, hummus, split peas, etc.)

Organic vegetable soup. It can have legumes in it (above) or quinoa, which is a seed. But if you are trying to heal something, eat these foods separately.

Seaweed or super greens (as long as they are free of ocean toxins)

Organic herbal tea without caffeine

Organic unsweetened fresh almond or coconut milk or store bought by Pacifica

Crackers by Mary's or Flackers ONLY unless they are organic, raw (uncooked), and without sugar. Flackers has only 2 grams of sugar per 6 crackers and it is from the tomatoes only. NO ADDED SUGAR EVER!

The following foods will cause an acid forming PH which in turn is a breading ground for dis-ease.

The myth about protein

I DO NOT recommend eating meat of any color or dairy products at all. If you will not stop eating meat, then only do so once a week and make sure it is organic, free-range and hormone free. The notion that we need an abundance of protein is a myth. Watch the movie, "Forks over Knives" for further information on that subject. Or study the China Project. We get all of the protein we need from veggies, legumes, nuts and seeds, such as, quinoa, which is a whole protein. These foods do not destroy the earth to grow them. In order for cancer patients to heal they must not eat high protein and fat diets, such as, the common American diet. This ought to tell you something! If it heals cancer don't you think it's a healthy diet?

I do not recommend grains or any white-ish starchy foods, such as rice. Chips, pastas, etc., are what I consider non-foods. They are processed and are not really food. You can not pick a pasta from a tree or from the ground and eat it straight away. Stay away from theses foods.

Minimize oils! There is an oil and sugar epidemic! Only use organic non-GMO oil and never cook it. If you think the deli at Whole Foods has healthy organic food you are wrong. Very few health food delis do. Make your own food.

I also do not recommend coffee, soda or anything with sugar, chemicals or caffeine in it. If you need more energy, try taking a nap when you are tired or going to sleep early. Most people's systems are in havoc because they are not aligned to the rotational system of the Earth. That means go to sleep when it gets dark and wake up when it gets light out. If you try to disrespect the Earth by not noticing her, you will disrespect yourself as well.

No sugar of any kind including agave, xylatol, high fructose corn syrup, chemical sugars, honey, maple syrup, etc. Only eat whole fruit. Not fruit mixed with anything, but actually bite into a piece of fruit. Stevia is okay.

No alcohol, smoking or drugs.
