im going to be able to see the movie in the next couple of days .
about my agreement with little buddha, its kind of a long story but basically he came to tests my ability to feel compassion and set boundaries at the same time . the owner of buddha do not want to accompany him trough the process of sickness and death and she tried to give him to me . i felt a strong compassion for this little dog and i almost said yes . then i realized it was going to be a nightmare for me and i had the courage to say not . the deal is even deeper than that but it would take too long to explain here .

When our cat is sleeping she is very cute. I love seeing the crazy sleeping positions she gets into. Otherwise she pretty much drives me crazy. She works very hard to keep her fur clean and shiny. During times of stress (which seem frequent) she does so incessantly. When she sits within my line of vision, I can see her head bobbing up and down, up and down, up and down, ad nauseum. AHHHHH.
I tell you this because it is the nature of our agreement. Her repetitive pattern of grooming is done as a comfort. I find her movements irritating because within, I am not at peace. My own pattern of being nervous about what I need to do, am I going to get into trouble, did I do this right are always there, did I forget this, where did I put that…. She doesn’t feel safe she uses the tools she has to feel better. In this she is so very helpful to me — a perfect reminder to employ what I have learned to assist me in feeling safe and accepted.

I chose my female black, silky, fluffy cat ~ She is here as epitome of cat as female companion. My agreement is that I would pamper her with a very comfortable life, free access to indoors, sleeping on the bed, and she would be my purr companion – she would be the loving, playful female cat I like to have in my life. She does expect love & attention in return; it is part of the bargain. She expects it more than some cats. This encourages my nurturing side, so ultimately she reminds me to nurture and take loving care of myself as well as her. Her beauty is pleasing to me, and it is another thing she provides ~ a very attractive cat. ‘I’ll be pretty and very affectionate,’ she says, ‘and you can shower me with love.’ She used to be a superb hunter, so she also reminds me that being female can also mean being wild with a and earth connection.
I have added, “Heaven is for Real” to my Netflix Queue, so I will be able to see it as soon as it is available (mail Netflix). (It is not playing where I live.)

I have yet to watch the movie but I came across the book in Sam’s. The self reading was insightful and gave me a new appreciation for my pet. No matter what type of reading I am giving or receiving, the message is always the same: Drop all fear and completely immerse myself in what I am here to do.
