Thursday: Q) How can I have more happiness, fun and joy in my life? A) Release of control and complete surrender. “Bad” things are labeled that way because of the “good” we attach to the thing. Loss is because we loved, sickness is because we know health, being unhappy is because we know our greater potential.
Friday: Q) How can I create more abundance? A) The question is flawed. You cannot “create” abundance. Abundance is. All you have to do is recognize it. It is the sparkle of the sun on a dew drop, laughter that is of pure heart, it is the wind in the chime and the symphony. As you turn away from thoughts of worry or frustration you will see a new depth of beauty and synchronicity. Epiphanies will come more often and life will flow.
Saturday: Q) Why do I resist that which I know would be beneficial for me? A) I never got the answer for this as other things came up that I had to deal with……..hmmm, more resistance?
Sunday: Q) What are 3 actions I can take that will serve to move me more into alignment with my purpose? A) Relax, Believe in the impossible and Know there is nothing you can’t handle.
my totem animal this week is the black bear .
when i asked him what he is about he told me he is mirroring my energies .
he say he have a beautiful symbiotic relationship with the forest ( just like the name i choose to be my surname ) . he love to be alone, love to be with his babies, love to be in silence, he is very grounded . he is very peaceful but very clear about boundaries .
one day i asked him how to attune myself more to the gifts he is bringing for me and he told me : balance and the gift of the observer . one day he told me to spend a full morning in silence observing my movements ( specifically my hands, which is funny because its a technique for lucid dreaming ) . one other day he sent me to the forest near the creek walking with no shoes pretending the forest is my home . one other day i asked him what would bring more balance and he told me to make a ceremony expressing my gratitude for being a child of the earth … i now feel so much love for bears !!
I asked my totem animal why he kept lifting his left claw from the tree limb. He said it helps him to stay focused on where he is and it allows him to be ready to shift into any adventure on a moments notice.
“Why is my heart sad?” It is trying to please two masters: the past and the now. Be like a blade of grass – as the sun shines it reaches upward enjoying the warmth – on rainy days it reaches down deep in the earth. The grass remembers not yesteday.
“How can I have more fun?” Use your imagination! Imagine peace, joy, love, adventures and belonging. As you practice this skill, it will become nature to have fun!
My totem animal since this class is the wolf. The very first day I asked the wolf how I could work with my diet and health and weight better, and the wolf simply said, ‘Eat what is good for you.’ I found the simplicity of the wolf’s words very wise, as I realized that simple question can be asked by me every single time I prepare food or prepare to eat food. It eliminates things that are bad, unnecessary, and is a quick and easy way to monitor in the moment! I also asked about a relative having a very difficult time in life, and the wolf reminded me of how the wolf pack gathers around those who need protecting, while also respecting, and said this relative needed protecting. Later, ‘You have a wolf pup that needs protecting. When the mother cannot adequately care for the pup, gather the greater circle together to care for the pup. In this case, the greater circle can be very large. We value our pups greatly; they are young, innocent, and depend on us, and they are the reflection of our tenderness and maturity both, and our knowing that we are all connected.’ Regarding some old/new friends who came to visit this week, ‘Smile, help them clean the ‘cave,’ spread out the welcome mat for the future, and howl one more time at the distant mountains together,’ which means to help them clean the cabin house they stayed in, use my words to welcome them back at any time, and make time to take a moment to share an appreciation of the natural beauty here together, even if it’s just five minutes. I am enjoying Wolf’s Wisdom – I enjoy it when wolf speaks as a wolf, as it brings a strong earth connection to my life, and seems soo practical and grounded. (Oh, I am not sure which video to watch with the Fox – there are multiple versions online.)
