Is Chocolate (aka Cacao) Sustainable for Your Health?

Chocolate and Cacao
Sustainable or Unsustainable?

I stopped eating chocolate a few years ago, as I deem it an unsustainable food; that is, a food that will not sustain my equilibrium on all levels. Therefore, I started eating cacao nibs (chocolate without the sugar) instead of chocolate. I figured that without the sugar, cacao nibs would be purely medicinal.

At first cacao nibs taste bitter, but then when you get used to them, they begin to taste like chocolate. I put the cacao nibs in my trail mix with nuts and goji berries. But I noticed I was constantly picking out the berries and cacao nibs. You know… the good bits. This is when it became evident that they were not good for me. I also tasted mold in the nuts and know that nuts must be soaked overnight in water in order to digest properly in the human body. Nuts have enzyme-prohibitors and if you soak them it makes them become alive and digestible. They also taste better and are easier to chew.

My barometer for health is how much I want a particular food and the degree of excitement involved. If I am a little too excited about a food and can eat it incessantly, it is clear that it is unhealthy. I define health as balanced and grounded physical, emotional and mental strength and energy.

Not only did I get the intuitive “hit” that the cacao nibs were unhealthy for me (per my standard of health) but I realized that they were creating a cyst in my body that gets bigger or smaller according to what I eat. Then I did a few energy readings on clients and found that cacao and chocolate, although not caffeinated, are unhealthy stimulants. I see chocolate in people’s bodies (and energy field) as a dark brown energy that is a blockage or stagnant energy, much the same as how I see coffee’s negative affect on the body.

I know that there are many healthy ingredients and benefits that have been reported about both chocolate and wine, for example. Although this is true, I must inform people of my findings that when I scan the body clairvoyantly; neither coffee nor cacao is an overall healthy choice. They are stimulants and will not help to create a balanced, productive, emotionally stable and peaceful life.  The choice is yours. The main stream population is spiraling around without any sort of grounding chord. It takes a certain strength to be different and to learn how to relax and ground into your body and say, “No” to stimulants. If you want a grounded and stress-free life, eat simple grounded foods that don’t stress the body. It’s that simple.

This article leads me to my next post which will be about groundedness and slowing down in this fast-paced society.
